The Eagles concert at Soldier Field is bigger-than-expected, but the crowd still managed to hold a huge, raucous, full-on crowd, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
There were nearly 3,000 people inside the stadium when the Eagles opened their season opener against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.
They drew a record-breaking 2.4 million people, according the crowd’s website.
Eagles’ fans are on their way to a huge season-opening event.
It was a big night for Eagles fans, with the most-watched game on ESPN, according an early Nielsen measurement, and the most streamed event on Twitch.
The crowd was on its way to one of the biggest and loudest sporting events in American history.
Schefter tweeted that the Eagles’ stadium, a massive space, was packed with fans, which is unusual.
A number of fans wore “We the People” hats, a slogan coined by President Donald Trump during his campaign to get people out to vote in the 2018 midterm elections.
There were also fans dressed in masks, many of whom stood up to get a look at the crowd and the fans’ performance.
“It was definitely bigger than anticipated, which was very encouraging,” Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor said.
“There were a lot of people in there that are probably going to be wearing masks for the rest of the season.
I’m very happy to see the Eagles fans out there, they did a great job.”
Schefters also tweeted that there were several Eagles fans who stood up for Kaepernick during the anthem during the game, which he did.
Some Eagles fans wore Trump hats, while others wore black face coverings, which were seen as a direct response to Kaepernick’s refusal to stand during the national anthem.
At one point, a fan yelled, “Shame on you, Trump!
You’re disrespecting our veterans!,” while others chanted, “Not in our name!” and “F*** Donald Trump!”
This was a game that was being held inside the Eagles stadium.
It was a huge night for the Eagles, who drew a massive, raunchy, full stadium.
They are hoping to continue that success in 2018.
Fans dressed as the Eagles had to be very careful of their safety as they approached the stadium, Schefter tweeted.
The stadium is huge and it’s huge and loud.
It’s the biggest stadium in America and they got the best seats in the house.
Eagles fans will have a great season and the NFL will never be the same.
That’s why we are here.
That’s why you’re here.
They brought us here.
This is a huge game for them.
They know they have the best seat in the stadium.
The fans here will be there.
It will be one of those moments when you get into the game and the crowd goes nuts.
The atmosphere is incredible.
They’re not afraid of anybody.
They bring out the best in us.
