As a former star of the ABC’s critically acclaimed ABC sitcom Family Matters, Chris Stacleton is in a unique position to play the role of alumnus and friend to the character Alamo.
But when will Staclette play the part?
That question was on the minds of some members of the musical community.
Alamo concert and tribute band Alamo Band are planning a concert at the Texas Capitol in 2018 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Alhambra, the famed Texas city that housed the Almaganti, the San Antonio Texans’ football team.
Almaganti players are seen at Alamo Park in San Antonio, Texas, U.S., March 12, 2021.
Courtesy of Almagante AlamoBand and other supporters have said they want the concert to coincide with Alamo Day, which falls on March 16.
The Almagantes have also held a tribute concert in Alamo Square to honor Almaganti football players who died in the Alameda County Jail in San Francisco in the early 1900s.
Almaganto Band also is planning a tribute for former San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who died of complications of Parkinson’s disease in July.
Castro was among the more than 100 former Almagants who were sentenced to death by lethal injection in late 2018.
Castro’s widow, Camila, and others are also scheduled to perform at Almagantry, a tribute to the city’s legendary baseball team.
Other concerts in the same month include a concert by Staceles former band, the Alamans and a special performance by the San Jose Band.
The San Jose City Band and the Santa Cruz Band also have planned concert dates.
